Why would you need a log book for another car? If I DO get a log book it goes with the car when it goes to scrap heaven....

just ive an irish registered car and want to ,put in on uk plates for a while without having the hassel of changing it back???
surely ye dont all scrap yer cars
as dodgy as it sounds?
dont want to pay all the mot testing and registering for a few months as i sellin the car later in the year,
how much does this actually cost

eh?
you've bought a car but it's got no ID? :wack: sounds a bit shady to me....
I know the selling of logbooks/IDs is done for older classic cars but you'll have a real job getting one for a modern car.......

fair enough il just ave to get it registered in the uk,
it would be probably illegal driving round on plates of a different car,
just wanted it for the transportation purposes as im insured in the uk,
how much is registration and mot testing in the uk
decat pipes pass the mot??

Totally illegal to do that and they'd come down on you pretty hard of you got caught. Just drive it on irish plates and it'll be fine. You are technically allowed to drive a car on foriegn plates if only visiting the UK. As they won't be able to tell when the car came into the UK you'd be fine if stopped but you'd only get away with it once.

When I scrap a car the document goes off to the DVLA marked as such otherwise you keep having to declare it SORN forever :wack:
