Hi guys!
My names Pete and i have been lurking on here for a while now, bit of a watcher and not so much a poster!
I've got a DWYB day booked for this wednesday the 4th and i'm really excited but also a little nervous, I guess its the whole everyones going to laugh at the newbie feeling, but i'm hoping you lovely chaps aren't like that
I'm kinda just asking for any advice or help that anyone can offer in terms of things I need to take on the day that i haven't thought about, or even any pointers on how i can improve on the day?
I have owned plenty on RWD cars including several BM's and a S14a, so I have done a bit of "unintentional" drifting before (the odd arse kick) but just not in the right environment or for any length of time!
I was also wondering whether tyres are available to buy on the day from anyone at all? I know changing facilities are there but just wondered if I didnt have enough could i buy more?
If anyones interested ive got a lightly specced Calypso red e36 325 M50 that i took in part exchange for my 14a when i sold it, but due to becoming a Daddy i've not had the time or money to use it until now!
I'm also a bit worried of the impression i'll give when i get there, as the car sorta looks half decent and was used last year by the previous owner in Drift Cup, ive got some decent tools and a few people to help me, and i'm borrowing a very nice Brian James trailer from a friend with tyre racks, fuel can holders, the full shabang.....
And then theres going to be me looking a right tit with all the kit but none of the skills
Not really sure what else to say or where to go with this as its all a bit new to me, but any help or advice that anyone can give me on here, on the day, or even just saying hello to me at Pod would be very much appreciated!!!
Cheers fellas
