Looking at buying an s14 help.

I've been and looked at a 14 and really Interested in it but found a few problems, can anyone shed some light on these please.

1. Rev counter has a mind of its own (been told its common and normally a bad earth)

2. Heating will not blow cold air, it's constantly hot (air con has been removed)

3. Reverse light does not illuminate (bulb is good). Bad earth, cable, switch??

Rev counter is a broken bit of solder on the back of the clocks, easy fix.

Heating is a strange one, I'm not sure what that could be. Normally these have issues with the fans bot not the heater control. Perhaps
the slider has come away behind the dash?

My reverse lights haven't worked for a while now. It's not an MOT fail but check the switch on the gearbox if you're picky and want them working.

Thanks it's the heating that bothers me the most and is most likely going to be a pain to fix. Where is the heater control valve located on these? They have said they will look into the problems but if they can't find it I'm a bit apprehensive buying it.
