Lower arm bushes help.

Hi guys,

Anychance of abit of advise I fitted the purple lower arm bushes suppled with the pro handling kit, but the bushes seem to small for the holes in the arms. And if you grab the bottom of the wheel the arm comes out like 2/3 mm as I found out at AF it's abit scary! Just wondering if I've done something wrong? Or if there undersized or something?

I know it's late but any help would be great! Ment to be at pod tomorrow!

I know with different brands of bushes for the s13, some come with a metal sleve and others don't. From what you've put the only thing I can think is that the metal sleeve isn't in the arm maybe?! Hope that helps :)

I'm refering to the front arms btw :)
 
I don't think I cut anything? Does the collar go between the 'channel' can you find a picture of what you mean, thanks for the help.
 
You have s13 fla's?
If i remember right I sent you Powerflex bushes because you didn't have s14 ones?
 
Yeah there s13 ones because I had to change the ball joints, If I get a chance (if it stops pissing it down) I'll try and get some photos.
 
Probably cut the collar out then.
Pictures please mate, take the arm off and pop the bushes out.
 
Sounds like you might of pressed the metal sleeve out with the old OEM bush possibly, as mentioned above? Should be left in the arm, and the bush pressed into that sleeve..

What i remember I don't have a sleeve, any idea on the wall thickness? I'll just get abut of tube welded in. I have no idea where the old bushes are now :(
 
Can't be much, 1mm maybe.
I'd just get some more stock arms, a lot less fucking about and probably cheaper.
 
Normally I'd agree but I work in a place that basically bend tubes and welds them, Although I don't think I can get that thin wall thickness, I'll see if we have anything that will match the od of the bush, then just cut it to suit the channel in the arm and fully weld it on form the inside (bar the bit you can't reach) should be alright, other wise I'll have to press the ball joints out and get them back in!

Also locating s13 arms getting them here and fitting them before Friday is going to be a bit difficult.

Ok some more help, are the s14 arms the same I have a pair of s14 lower arms can I use the sleeves from them? Obviously I'll find out but it save a lot of ball ache!

rear lower arm bushes have a thin metal outer sleave to the bush that need cutting out, i found out the same way, before i realised, same for front aswell man!!!
 
Front, the rears seem ok as far as Im aware, I suppose I'll have to check, got one side off today, the bushes are fucked, so I need new ones of them.

Still trying to find out if the front s14 sleeves fit in the s13 arms, I'm going to try and get them presses out tomorrow!
