Does anyone know anywhere that could sort out some diff problems I'm having? I've got a Nismo two way diff and it's knocking when I pull away, brake or change gear, in a straight line or on a corner, feels like the prop is moving 5/10mm then hitting the diff. A local MOT sort of garage place said that it's got too much 'backlash'. Is there anywhere in Surrey that specialises in differentials/transmissions?

I am definately NOT a specialist for diffs, but 5-10mm movement due to backlash sounds a bit extreme. Did you check all mounts first? There are 2 screws that hold diff in place I was told like to wiggle if not glued.
 
Interesting. It doesn't feel like the unit itself is moving but when you stand underneath it you can turn the prop shaft about a 10th of a turn before it stops by hitting anything mechanical.. is that normal? Doesn't seem normal.
