currently going through the footage trying to adjust picture settings as I've got a great view of the interior, but can see sod all out the windscreen.

here's one I've done so far with the tyre going bang. I'll chuck more up as they are done.

It was my first time at Lydden, also my first 'track drift day' and the first time I've truly drifted it since I supercharged it.

I chose to go in the intermediate group but found everyone was going very slow down the straights and into the corners?
my handbrake wasn't touched all day as it's shit and i'm using the stock LSD, which made the long corner interesting lol

I like that, pulling 4th no bother.

Positive displacement superchargers are easily the best thing for drift cars, my Merc was 100 times better than the bhp level would make you think it would be with drifting, and the way the supercharger made it drive was why.

The torque certainly helped, and even when coming off the throttle you get it back again the moment you touch it, no need for clutch kicks, in fact I didn't clutch kick all day.

I would have loved a welder for that long corner though, I needed to keep speed which ultimately meant not much lock, well compared to my mate with the welder...

Next time I wouldn't mind some more aggressive flicks initiating earlier. But I suppose the handbrake needs to be sorted so I can stop the tyres gripping when I start to lose momentum?

Yeah, the throttle response they give makes them a dream to drift in comparison.

You running a Torsen then or?

I don't think the handbrake is needed or will help at all mate, footbrake use is good for slowing down or rotating the car when coming in really fast with big flick entries etc. Handbrake means the rear wheels stop moving, footbrake lessens that, or can even keep on the throttle too.

Yeah torsen as this is my daily and track car too lol. I dabbed the brakes a few times to hold the angle when 'coasting' on the left hand flick, but as I am just powering over and using momentum I think that will only get me so far, as it seems to want to 'pull in' when the tyres grip again, what I'm hoping the handbrake would do is let me adjust the angle to whichever way the wheels are pointing if I've over done the flick.

I don't know how to describe it really, in essence I probably want it to try hold it at an angle when I feel the momentum of the car is going to keep going inwards, as even with my lock spacers there isn't my forgiveness when your about to hit full lock.

I've got a mx5 turbo, hydro came out when I got my nissan, and now I'm going back to the mx5 it's going back in.
Places like pod I find you don't need it at all really, but then snetterton I love it.
What a lot of people don't realise is once the mx5 is turbo'd/charged you don't NEED to go in so hot, you just do because it's mad fun.

Get modded knuckles, that makes things less stressful and more fun

Only watched one but looked fun. I havent drifted lydden for ages. One tip though, after you enter chessons and go over the jump let the car run wide and you can hold it longer.
