Hy ! I am new here on forum, I am from Romania and I started drifting with a BMW M3 e36 EVO since June. Last week I was in Hungary on Rabocsiring track and I noticed that my original differential ( 3,25 lsd ) is a bit too long. I am looking for a shorter like 4,1 or 4,27. I found one, a 4,27 with lsd which came from a e34 2.5 12V. My question is, it would fit on my car? whats modification's should I do? I need some ideas from you. Sorry for my English. Here you have some photo's with my M3

The Evo 3.2 m3 diff is 210mm, the rest of the e36 diffs are Medium casing 188mm, the e34 2.5 12v is medium 188mm case.

You would need to downgrade the whole rear end to normal e36 to take a 188mm casing diff, which is allot of backwards effort.

If you want to upgrade the Evo diff you'll need a motorsport 4.1 Crown wheel and pinion.

Your ratio is 3.23:1
