Hi,
After half a day of slamming around a circuit, when i drive back to the pits and get out of the car I can hear a noticeable rattle coming from the engine which occurs whether the clutch is engaged or not. The rattle increases as the RPMs increase.
The idle is still pretty stable and if I put my hand on top of the engine I can almost feel the rattle which leads me to believe it's something at the top end when the engine is hot. (low road speed, high RPM).
The car isn't down on power and there's no smoke. Temp gauge is also fine.
After driving home from the circuit (85 mile motorway cruise) the engine is quiet and smooth again.
Could this be something detrimental?
Cheers,
Dan
