Magnetic Sump Plugs for most cars

all the tiny parts of metal that float around in the oil attach themselves to it instead of causing further engine wear.

Haha - okay. Thats the scientific reason - mine was more practical :D

Nice, not sure if you are advertising the strength of the plug, or the ultra light camber arm!! :D

Forgot I had one of these off you, and wondered for a sec why it didn't just fall out into the drain pan when it was unscrewed.

Mega strong magnet, but you need to get your engine looked at if you're getting bits of swarf that size out of your sump, Phil

Bum just done a change, will get one for next time:D

Just hope its not so powerfull it`ll stop my engine from turning:wack:

As long as your engine's at the front you'll be drawn to the car in front instead of the one behind so it should increase power. Just don't drive over any manhole covers.

Thats just gonna magnetise major components to it like ropey big end bearings :wack: Or you may end up with suspension components stuck to your sump :smash:

Anyhoo, I think that will go on my list of 'little things to buy but get all at once to save on postage' (although Ive just got some c-spanners and a tee  :dw: )

Only size I could find online was this one... M12x1.5(thread pitch). I would get mine out and measure it but I've just changed the oil, I could talk to mike he's got a spare 2.5 engine somewhere, I think M12x1.5(thread pitch)
