Manual boost controller

Hi, I bought one of these the other week from the shop but didn't get any instructions. I know one side is plumbed to the actuater and the other side to the turbo, but does it matter which way round it's put? As there seems to be a one way valve in there when I was sucking and blowing through it :euge:

Boost source (i.e. manifold, turbo, etc) goes to the side in-line with the bolt, the actuator/wastegate goes to the side that's 90 degrees to the bolt. :) Screw it out as far as possible (couple of turns of engagement) to begin with, and screw it in to raise boost.
