Many many cookies and stuff going off...

Just went to have a browse on the shop, see if there was anything that takes my fancy - clicked on the shop button at the top of the page and your site suddenly tried to save shitloads of cookies on my PC...

Wierd thing, the cookies weren't DW ones, they were from sites like donefind.com, bulkfoods.com, webpharmaci.com - and I got an alert that the site (secure.directtrack.com) was trying to open a different site (lendingpartners.com)?

I assume some of it is to do with the adverts running over the top of the site, although I don't get any alerts on the forums... I'm only posting cos the sites sound pretty spammy - wondered if something dodgy was going on that you might not know about?

Everything's hosted from our own servers including the advert banners and such, that sounds well sketchy. Sounds like you either have a broswer hijack or I need to do some digging.....
Are you able to get me some detailed information emailed over so I can have a look?
 
on a side note: (I'm getting this everytime I try to log into my account - when I then click on the cart conntent it's all ok again...)

I thought it sounded odd... I just tried again and got e-cola.com and searchfox.us...

Yours is the only online shop it's happening with, but I'll run a full scan of my machine just in case...

And I won't be ordering anything from you through my work PC for a while ;)
 
OK, just gone back onto the site, didn't get any cookie requests this time, but watching the loading bar at the bottom, it was loading some funny things...

yup, I've cleaned it off the main site and just sorting the shop files now. It's not clear whether this is something that's been installed when other mods to the shop/forum/main site have been installed, but this would explain the error messages people have had on the shop with their accounts recently
 
Guys, thanks for bearing with us on this, I had installed an update to something that had included some undesireable extra coding :mad: :smash: :rolleyes:

Thankfully no harm done, and all is cleaned and updated now.

This will resolve the dodgy cookie problems as well as the funny errors logging into shop accounts.

If anyone notices any other funnies, please let me know and thanks again for being so thorough and letting us know so quickly as this has really helped us get it sorted quickly :thumbs:
