Maxxis British Drift Championship licensing day Silverstone Sunday 4th March 2012

BDC

BDC FTW!
Ladies and gents

Due to overwhelming demand for the licensing day on Saturday 3rd March we have now booked Sunday the 4th March at Silverstone for an additional licensing/practice day.

If you have booked Saturday and fancy making a weekend of drifting, therefore doubling your chances of going for your licence we are offering you a discount of £15 if you book both days. Those already booked for Saturday only need to pay £60 for the extra day.

This offer is also open to any 2011 BDC licence holder who wishes to attend to use the event as a practice/shake down day before the start of the season.

This event will take place on Sunday the 4[SUP]th[/SUP] March at the home of British Motorsport - Silverstone using the Copse Runway area.

The event has been scheduled far enough in the future to give those plenty of time to prepare for the event and well before the start of the season.

This event will be run in a similar format to a BDC event. Practice during the morning session, a short lunch break, licensing will take place from 1230. Once licensing has finished the track will be open for more practice.

This event is open to ANY driver whether you wish to attempt to gain a licence or not.

There is no charge for being assessed for a licence. You will only be charged for a licence if you wish to obtain one at the cost of £25. A BDC licence will give a driver the opportunity to compete in the 2012 championship. We ask you bring this in cash on the day along with a passport style photograph.

The BDC licence is also recognised by other event organisers and tracks as proof drivers are of an ability and able to take part in events/demos and competitions.

Drivers will also be eligible for offers and discounts from various sponsors of the championship.

Drivers may attend to gain either a Semi Pro or Pro licence and will be assessed on their performance on the day. Please be aware that a licence is not guaranteed.

The total cost for the day per car and driver is £75.

Additional drivers will be charged £35 per person.

A minimum of £50 (none refundable deposit) must be paid prior to the event.
Payments by paypal are preferred.

If you wish to pay by bank transfer or cheque then please send a pm or email bdc@live.co.uk for more details.

If paying by paypal please send payment to bdcevents@hotmail.co.uk

If paying the full amount by paypal please send £80

If paying the deposit of £50 please send £52.50

The additional fees are to cover paypal charges.

The driver's full name and contact email address must be included when paying by paypal.

Any outstanding monies must be paid in cash when signing on at the event.

Cars do not have to be built to full BDC regulations but must be in a good/safe road worthy condition. If a car has a fluid leak then they will not be allowed to take part.

Standard seat belts can be used but a 4 point harness is preferred, helmets are mandatory. :)

Passengers are not allowed at any time due to restrictions from the venue.

Helmets are mandatory.

Full details will be sent via email to all drivers 1 week prior to the event.

Places for the event will be limits to 40 drivers, a reserve list will be made of any additional drivers that wish to take part. Should any of the original 40 drivers drop out for whatever reason the drivers on the reserve will be offered a place.

If required we will host another licensing day before the start of the season but at this time this will be the only chance before the start of the 2012 season.

Places cannot be transferred or sold to other drivers without permission from the BDC due to drivers waiting on a reserve list.

The BDC will keep a full list of drivers and reserve places.

If you have any questions please email bdc@live.co.uk

Many thanks

The BDC team.

The tyre situation is under control Laura and we have a van attending.

Details at a later stage.

The track layout will remain the same for both days to ensure licensing is equal for all.

Please remember this area allows for top of 2nd/3rd gear entries so perfect for pre season testing.

Many thanks

The BDC team.

Might have a new daily with rotors under the bonnet by then. It'd be good to come along and see if it goes sideways :)

booked in for some much needed pre-season practice/shakedown best get the battered turd out of the shed & make it work properly again :-)

if we paid for the sunday additional should i be expecting another email? also is there anywhere to camp!

Same I've booked both days.

Joe - towcester travelodge is only £25

Also for both days is it 1 car at a time going out for practice (obviously license will be) cos it would make a big difference to tyre wear and how many I bring.
