Mazda RX7 FC 1988 **£575**

Hi,

****NOW SOLD****

For sale is my 1988 Mazda RX7 FC, 2.3 non-turbo.

It has only 85k on the clock, and has had 4 previous owners. It is taxed until the end of October, and has MOT until June 2010.

I bought this at the start of the summer for some Oulton Park drift action, and have used it there 5 times.

The interior is partially stripped, i.e. empty boot/back seats out etc, but the front remains largely intact. A new clutch has been fitted by the previous owner fairly recently, and the engine runs very well. I've not had a problem with it at all.

Modification wise, it has a welded diff, and is lowered on springs, and has a very loud exhaust. A fuel cut-off switch has also been added.

The bodywork/paint is in good condition for its age... no major dents, and just some minor surface rust on the roof. The paint has hairline cracks in it on the rear quarters, but nothing major. When polished, it looks pretty good!

The previous owner used it as his daily driver.

Also included are an additional 2 wheels with legal tyres on them.

Pickup from Macclesfield required, and cash on collection only.

£750 ono, or px for a mazda MX-5 in similar condition.

I saw this when it was at Oulton the other week, looks really clean and sounded awesome, could hear it coming up behind me and that's in an S13 with no interior.
GLWS fella

Cheers mate. Yeh its a bit loud... :o

The exterior is surprisingly neat considering its age! We wanted to do it matte black but thought it would be a shame to ruin it!

This is potentially the gayest question ever asked on here, but what's fuel consumption like? I should be looking at daily drives right now but I bloody love FCs...

Yep, 20mpg is probably about right...!

Obviously depends how/where you drive it.

We use 3/4 of a tank in a whole day at oulton.

I was after a turboII but could be tempted - however i am not in a position to buy until my car sells.... got a buyer coming on Saturday all being well

If you wanted a turbo, i dont think this will suit you... it is underpowered to be honest. You cant unstick the rear off the line in first... you have to give it LOADS of revs and pop the clutch before it'll break traction.
