Unfortunately the time has come to sell my Type R. This is a very reluctant sale as its a much loved car and very well cared for. I will be very sad to see it go.

I bought the car from another enthusiast who bought it from the West End Honda dealership in Dundee. The car has extensive history, and all major services carried out. With the last owner, the engine developed defective piston/crank shells at 98000 miles, and a replacement engine was fitted by a garage. I have receipts for this. I have all the receipts from any work I have done on the car since I bought it.

The car has 6 months tax and will have a years M.O.T as of next week.At the moment the car has 106,000 miles on the clock. Between myself and the last owner, a large amount of these miles are motorway journeys.

Spec as follows:

Recent Oil Change with top quality Fully Synthetic 5w40 oil, as recommended by Opie Oils.
Full custom cat-back stainless steel exhaust system. (Nice deep growl but nothing as loud as the Spoon exhaust. Not droney on motorway journeys either. Quiet when driving economically.)
BMC CDA Carbon Cold Air Intake.
E-Tech Front Strut Brace.
Full Carbon Fibre Mugen Replica Spoiler (sides painted to match the car)
Tein Lowering Springs.
Engine Start Button.
Heko Wind Deflectors.
Alpine Headunit with iPod Control.
Standard Alloys recently refurbished to satin black.
Good tyres all round with plenty of tread. Fronts recently renewed.
New Zinc Coated Grooved Discs and Mintex Pads.

There is a scratch on the drivers door if you look closely, It needs to be seen in the flesh because the camera can't pick it up.

There's a video of the car starting up here:[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPPBY3oTGUA]YouTube - Civic Type R - Push Start button[/ame]

Please no time wasters or test Pilot's. I'm looking for a Black BMW 330 as my next car.
£5000 ono.

This is 100% a genuine type r, the pre facelift models have this front end, which if people look closely will see also incorporates a small lower splitter.. As for red interior, only way you'd get that is on an anniversary edition, JDM import, or facelift model (red/black seats with red carpet)..

So to everyone doubting this, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this cars identity, it also looks a good clean example, good luck with the sale buddy..

Thanks to the above guys. I have no idea why some people were doubting if it's real or not. Obviously don't know much about hondas. Anyone interested pm me an offer or any questions you might have.

I have a lovely 330ci Sport in topaz blue for sale @ £5200. And yes it's manual with FSH ;) 107000 miles. (in for sale section, drift car bit)

ps. Nice type-r, looks really clean glwts.

the proper type r never had a splitter just the same as this ;)

You on about the NSX?

I think the comments about the red interior are probably relating to the likes of the EK9 Civic and DC2/5 Integras and are ment in jest.

This is 100% a genuine Type R owned by a sound lad who gave me free Red Bull! (Edinburgh y0 meet).

Good price too.

i think ppl are saying its not a real type r cos there was never a "REAL" type r soild in the UK all watered down

Ok. no worries. To clarify for any confused buyers, this is a genuine UK Type R, just not a JDM Type R.

Im taking any serious offers. Need this gone asap because I've put a deposit on my new car. Back to RWD!
