Mitsubishi Starion 2.6 WideBody FOR SALE

Well a baby on the way is forcing a very reluctant sale of my project car.

The car itself is a very good example and has had a recent respray just before I bought her which appears quite a good job. The rear arches have been repaired already and there is only one very small area that needs tidying there. The interior is in great shape, aside from the usual wear to drivers seat and door panels where the seat belts have caught it is an extremely clean example. If you want any pictures feel free to email me.

Now for the serious part, the engine has been removed and stripped to the short motor ready for rebuilding with performance parts I've imported from TEP in L.A.

I have a Stage 3 Street Performance jetless head, ported, polished and with high lift cam and 3 angle stainless vavles with heavy duty valve springs.
Full set of J.E. .40 oversize Forged pistons with total seal rings, the pistons have also been high heat treated at extra cost.
Full set of Pauter Forged Con Rods
Full gasket kit with Shim head gasket and ARP head studs
Balance shaft eliminator kit
Brand new waterpump
Brand new thermostat
New High volume oil pump
Brand new Nology plug wires
Full set of Drilled and grooved discs

This lot alone cost me over $3500 (£1990) !!!

I have a Magna intake manifold a friend kindly sent over from Australia so I could make a multi point intake, and a large Mitsi throtle body to fit it.
I've also a full set of door window rubbers and a spare set of door handles I bought from the states that have NO rust and are in excellent condition.

I've got a few other small pieces to go with her too but I'll dig those out when she goes.

I will not split or deal on any single items. I am selling her as a lot and she must be collected by the buyer.

£2000 no offers

As it happens now I'm buying the alloy flywheel and race clutch and getting the block assembled and balanced at the end of January but once the engine is built I'll be wanting £2500 for her, as then she should be safe to play with up to 450hp

Bump for a very nice car - TEP non-jet head is a fantastic base for a big power Starion! Would make an awesome drift car! I'd have it myself if I had £2k spare and a place to keep it... Has it got a cage as well? It says so on that link...

BTW - got any wheels for sale or know where I can get some?

Sorry never updated the link, the cage never arived from the vendor  . Cheers for pointing it out I'll update the page ASAP.

Page is down at the moment I'll do it the minute it's back up.

You're right about the TEP gear though, the set up I have should be good to pump 450 horses all day long and not pop. Plus it makes the 2.6 much higher revving which was always its downfall.

She was to be my drift car but its not to be, wish there was a way to keep her. I also have contacts for coilovers for them but Leda would be just as good. I have to say my other Starion I sold, even with only the boost turned up and the balance shafts removed was awesome to drift and the torque got the wheels free easily  She's priced for a quick sale as you can see, quick but defonately not painless, for me anyway.

I have an Evo 6 Makinen TD05HRA 15G to fit to her, or alternatively TEP do race 16G that just bolts on.

The 15G spools a little quicker, the idea was to reduce lag and increase responce to make for a smoother less scetchy drift when boost comes in.
