here we go chaps, my trusty little MR2 is for sale.
I will get some pics up soon, but for now here are some details
1987 E reg
facelift model, T-bar with leather
dark metallic blue
113500 miles............service history up to 90000 miles, all invoices thereafter.
Tax till October 2005
Mot has just run out
Its in overall good condition, however here are all the negatives........the main one is the rear arches which are starting to get rusty (very common problem) although I plan to get them in a better state before selling the car. Also there is a small bubbling of paint (about size of a 1p piece) at the front of the roof (near where the windscreen meets) also on the passenger side fron arch, it must have knocked in a car park, there is a patch of paint which has come off, about an inch in size....the surface has started to rust on the exopsed bit. The front splitter has been in the wars (as you can see from the pics.....some of the paint has been scraped off.
Some scum recently nicked the front badge.
The wheels were recently refurbed so they are all in good condition.
Very reliable, starts first time everytime, hasnt let me down once in over a years worth of motoring. Good gearbox (ie doesnt jump out of 5th gear which is another common prob). I also have the bags and covers for the glass roof panels.
All the electrics work as they should, also the car has a sony cd player (which I will leave in there) and a clifford immobiliser.
Does it drift? well, it does go sideways, especially 1st and 2nd gear, but you cant hold drifts for long or at high speed cos of the weight shift since its mid-engined. The car is completely standard. Could be made into a little drift car or would be a nice rwd daily runner for someone.
Price - well I want £1200 for it (paid £1400 last year and spent £500 on service, brakes and exhaust). I will have all the rust on the rear arches and rear mini panel sorted.
It wil come with 12mths MOT too.
If someone wants to take the car without me doing sorting out the arches, and also without me MOTing it, I am negotiable on that price.
I have tried to be 100% honest with the description, i want people to know what they are buying.
