I’m selling my MK2 Escort 1600 Sport
It is a genuine 1600 Sport with a number plate similar to the old works cars, its an 'S' reg 1977.
The car has both MOT and TAX (Length TBC)
Recently restored in Ford Signal green however the interior, engine bay & Boot are still black.
Body:
Since I bought it I have repainted some of it, including the door shuts which were hand painted with hamerite however are now matching in green.
7x13 Superlites (4 Black +1 Spare) with 205/50x13 Front, 215/60x13 Rear B F Goodrich tyres lots of tread.
Group 4 Alloy Arches, Group 4 Alloy Front Spoiler, RS2000 Rear Spoiler, World Rally Cross Member, New Halogen H4 Headlamps, bonnet pins and boot lock springs.
NO sunroof.
Engine:
Dave Longhurst Competition 1660 Xflow, New Competition Clutch, , Race Cam (up to 9k), Twin 45 Weber Carbs, Facet Solid State Fuel Pump, Kenlowe Electric Fan, Lumenition Ignition, Tubular 4-2-1 manifold and Ashley Single Box Exhaust System, New rotor arm, Distributor cap, HT Leads
Drive & Brakes:
T9 5 Speed box, RS Single Piece Prop, RS Rear Axle with 3.89 Differential, RS Brakes, Anti-Dive Kit, Anti-Tramp bar kit inc. Polybushes to be fitted, Gartrac -2" Uprated Leafs inc. Poly Bushes (To be fitted), Hydraulic Handbrake,
Interior:
Blue Sparco Ultra Lightweight Bucket Seats x2, Sparco Mounts, Sparco Blue 4 Point driver, and Blue 3 Point passenger Harnesses, 6 Point Roll cage including door bars, ‘Lifeline’ Extinguisher with T Pulls on dash & Scuttle Panel (needs plumbing) , Battery Cut Off on Dash & Scuttle Panel, Blue Suede & Anodized Alloy Astrali Steering Wheel.
The car is a good example and solid but being honest does need some work to make mint, the engine bay, interior and boot aren’t painted in green they are black. The Fire extinguisher is there and is full, it also has the nozzles and the pulls ready but just need the cable from the extinguisher to the pull cords supplied and fitted. The carbs are twin 45’s and need setting up properly.
The car is based in Southgate, North London. Any inspection is welcome
