I am strongly considering buying an MR2 NA what are they like to drift and is
it worth while, iwould have gone for a s13 200 but i cant aford to insur one.

Its not as easy as an FR car by a long stretch, but rewarding when you get it right and it would teach you well.
Sideways Rob used to manage just fine in his, there is footage and pics about of that if you hunt about.

Turbo conversion isn't hard, and LSD gearbox is available. there are a couple of MR2 sites about, IMOC etc, should give you more info on them.

I quite like drifting mk2 MR2's, and find it easier than my AE86 for some strange reason but they have alot more torque and you can start a drift from as low as 2000rpm! but the only down side you got is, its got to be wet/raining to have fun, otherwise they grip pretty well, they understeer badly if you dont get the ass out, and you cant get much angle on the drift, which looks gay tbh!

not too bad to learn the basics in, definately harder to get the arse out that on my old S14.....
