My Daughter and I fancied a go at drifting, she is only 12 so we needed a small car and on a tight budget so the MX5 fitted the bill! I nabbed a cheap £300 UK Spec 1.8 on Ebay, bought unseen it could have been a pile of scrap, but luckily the only rust was a small amount on the arches and the sills. A quick session with the welder and it was sorted! Next up I got a cage out of a Ford Anglia and cut it down to make it fit. It was tight but it went in. Next up was another set of wheels and tyres so I had spares for skidding, I picked them up for £100 with pretty much new tyres! Some spray paint action later and they were luminous green/yellow.
