Here for sale is my sleeper turbo mx5, It’s a 2000 1.8s so comes with better suspension and a lsd from factory, the shell mileage sits at 99k, The original engine unfortunately suffered rod knock due to an overly aggressive launch control and I have sourced a low mileage one at 80k which was fitted in April this year. The sills have been rid of rust aswell as the bootlid which is another common place for rust on mx5s, the rear arches are fine and both sills have been undersealed,the car was resprayed from the wing mirrors back, in March last year, it’s not the best of jobs but she cleans up nice. Full years MOT, I have a folder bulging with receipts the car was serviced by me every year in my ownership, as it’s easy enough to do and I enjoyed it. It’s a fast car, not to be underestimated and having said that, all test drives will be done by me unless you have the cash in your hand!
The power is currently at 280hp (with printout done a couple months back) which is considered the maximum for stock internals, boosts great all the way to redline. The turbo kit was originally installed by skuzzle whilst it was in the previous owners possession, I have the original receipt for it, I bought the car standard apart from the turbo kit, it had standard brakes,clutch, interior and engine bay, so I’ve put a lot of money and hours into this car. Car comes with 2 keys and 2 Clifford remotes. Slight cracked paint on rear bumper.

The engine was last serviced when it got swapped in and all new tensioners and seals too. Have a few spare parts to go with the car if price is met.
Few little things will need doing such as sorting the original horn as I hadn’t had a chance to run the cable through the new steering wheel (have installed a horn on a switch) steering wheel will need straightening up which will be done when the horn is wired in. Very Slight bubbling on one sill, would be just surface rust and I’ve considered this in the price.
Looking for £4800 with plate, offers considered.
