Thats cool, FC's rock. I did consider getting one for a drift car for a bit but i wasn't sure i could deal with the engine rebuilds and petrol costs. I've wanted one for years though ever since i sat in a Turbo II at the motor show in 1989.

Lee - I think drift handbrake sounds cool, i think you described it as a screwy thingy that you use for drifting :D

Genjuro - Don't believe all the bad things you hear about the rotary they are great fun so you don't think about the costs, although mine is so track prepared its not great for road use.

Ooh, very nice :) I love FCs, almost had one over my S13. The more FCs and FDs in the UK scene the better. I've said it before and I'll say it again, there aren't nearly enough of them!

I really want to get an FD to go alongside my S14 but what sort of things do I need to look out for? I was thinking about getting an import but I'm not sure if it's asking for trouble. What sort of mileage is low enough for me to have peice of mind that it's not going to be completely fcuked?? Cheers guys

Best of getting one thats been rebuilt or one with a warrenty (some of the FD importers offer them on engines - Rotary Imports have had a few rebuilt on warrenty). FD's generally last about 60k but some go sooner, some later.

Dont expect to get any better than 15mpg really, or £70 to do 200 miles as it hits home harder how expensive it is on fuel.

Mine just had the water seal go at 54k - was a pipe coming off the AST which caused the engine to boil off all the water - so not a typical apex seal going. But a rebuild all the same (I'll be having a few toys added whilst the engines out too - heh)!

Like Lee says - get a newly rebuilt one for piece of mind as a late model with low milage is quite costly by comparison.

They aren't the cheapest cars to run, but they are an excellent drive and look the nutz!!

Looks a nice clean example, I was thinking of a second for an everyday driver as mines a bit of a handfull.
