Brought this 70,000 mile 1.4 beauty back in October and she wasn't in to bad nice considering her age. Was already stripped and welded up, anyways needed to gather up some funds and start treating her.

yeah that be me, just pulled the old engine out today, ready to wack the 1.8 f7p lump in tomoro, then got to build a cage, and get hold of some minilites. should then be ready to drift.

Haha have it a snag with the swap, brought the engine as a full conversion with the knowledge that it would be completely ready to go straight in. But turns out the bloke I got it off forgot to remind me that one it doesn't have a starter motor, and two it doesn't have a manifold for the carbs. With any luck should be able to make my old starter fit, and am going to have to get a custom manifold made, joys!

I'm located near Southampton, and is that a full manifold as I have been quoted £190 for a full mid length manifold, so £
30 seems really cheap just wondering if your talking about a manifold plate?

Yer that is for a plate but then all got do is get the pipes welded on to it to Wat ever carbs . Is that 190 and all set up running to

Anyways. Have bit the bullet and ordered a full custom stainless steel manifold from 'classicswede' on Volvo 300 mannia. Should take about 2 weeks to complete, have plenty jobs to do in the mean time:

Wire up and mount front fog lights
Air drill holes in bumper
Fit steering boss
Fit H.I.D kit
Measure and cut aluminum door cards
Mount passenger bucket seat
Flatten off filler in doors
Mount exhaust

And it's a 340 so tonnes more happy ;)
