Basically I have bought a 180sx shell, which some of you will already know.

It is mint underneath with no rust

The chassis has been strengthened in Japan before it came over here in 2010

I am in 2 minds with what to do inside

I have also bought a donor car for most of the bits I need so the reason for the thread title to say SR'd 180sx

I am trying to keep it original engine wise but it will be built as a daily/drifter

I'll update pictures as the build comes on

I've been away from the project for a couple of weeks, I picked up my donor car in the week, was an early (F) Reg S13 in the light Green/Silver colour. It has an SR conversion from a S14/A. Basically a SR20DET VVT engine. As I want to keep my 180 as it should be I'm going to change this engine for a Red/Black Top non-VVT

So I had to get the engine out, we decided to drop the whole lot as one from the front subframe, engine, box, prop, diff, shafts,suspension, hubs, wheels.

Then using a forklift we lifted the shell from above started to strip down the bits to check the condition.
