Yes, It's for sale!
I've had this car for about 18 months, and the original intention was to turn it into a promo car and raffle it off within 12 months. Well I got a bit too attached to it, but it really should find a new home now so I can get underway with other projects. I'm soooo upset!
Anyhow, for those that aren't familiar with the car, this is it...
With the URAS front bumper...
(plane not included!)
It was imported in December 2005 by Powerdrift and was pretty standard, apart from the guages (Oil temp/Oil pressure/Water Temp/Boost), a good exhaust (name unknown...it's written in Japanese!), HKS Air Filter, Apexi SAFC & Turbo Timer. I then exchanged the existing coilovers for a nice set of G-Force adjustables, and fitted a Kaaz 2-way diff. Cosmetically, it got a lovely new re-spray, GP Sports kit (although it currently has a genuine URAS Front bumper) and Ultralite 'Evolve' alloys. And of course, the graphics!
Everything mechanical was fitted by Julian at Garage-D, who also serviced it. The car has had regular oil changes and so on as well, the most recent being last week, with a new filter. It's running approx 260-270bhp.
The RB25 engine is superb... it is so reliable and sounds excellent! It never uses any oil, and the turbo has only ever been run on a maximum of 0.7 bar, and most of it's life it has been running at 0.4 bar. In fairness, the car hasn't seen that much 'action' as such, even though it is set up for it. It really only ever gets used for promotional events and car shows, over the past twelve months, I've averaged using it about two/three times a month. The mileage is 130,000kms (approx 81k miles?). It isn't UK registered at present, but is displaying Japanese numberplates.
As I said above, I will miss this car incredibly! Only today I was driving along the M25 and a van started bibbing and the passengers all were waving! It gets so much attention and has really 'earnt it's keep' as a promo tool for Shock Models. The girls love it! And of course, it featured in that Drifters show that catapulted Superclarkey & Pete Barber into fame!
I'm asking £6250 for it...and I pray that the next owner leaves the stickers on, but of course, it's up to them!
Questions via pm please or you can call me on 07971 045522. Please only get in touch if you are genuinely interested in buying the car.
