Need a bit of help, actually a lot

Hello again, so i would need help or directions where to look for or for what in this project car. Basically its friends old project car, like old old, it was meant to be build back then but it didnt happen and now its mess.

Its 240sx coupe body originally with A/T now stripped and KA is out, maybe gonna post parts soon, and we have RB20DET for it, i know basics of that swap, we figured mostly the harness, we are already looking for engine mount kits.

Where i need help is basically tuning now, ye its not even runnung now but, we dont have original MAF, we have Z32 maf what is kinda good, and we have iffy turbo what looks like china express, theres no brand on it and its ar68 on exhaust side.

We also have RB26DET injectors, but we have stock ecu and the chips are looking iffy, couldnt find a reputable brand, so im looking if its worth to get nistuneaddon and get it tuned somewhere, because we dont wanna spend like 1,5k on standalone and cables.

Then im not sure if we wanna keep the chinaspecial turbo or get like rb26 turbo or any recommendations. And if anyonr has link to article or tips on how to add clutch assembly to originally A/T s13 would be amazing.

I know its a lot of stuff and very specifit but i need help and since driftworks community helped me so much i see asking here as my biggest chance to do it actually semi right but not like 30k€ right
 
Yea you'll need Nistune, can't imagine you'd find a chip that'd happily run that setup. China turbo could well be fine, keep the boost below a bar and it is less likely to explode.

I think for the engine mounts people usually use the R32 Crossmember then R32 engine mounts.

Okay, Ill look into Nistune a bit more, nah i also dont want chip, im only gonna run chip on my CA18 since i know many people who run it from HD and no problems, but since that car is gonna be more modified i want to be able to control it more precisely.

Will try to see how the turbo holds, if not down the line we might get turbo from RB26 or smth, havent looked into specific turbo upgrades yet seeing as we have atleast something and we want to get engine running first.

But also now thinking as i have not much experience in tuning ecus, can i start with OEM ecu engine with z32 maf already plugged or should i plug the Nistune first and upload some basic safe tune first ? we will go masic maintenance seeing as the engine was sitting for so long, so all gaskets, belts etc. Prehaps If you have recommendations what to check before first start up?

Also i appreciate your response seeing as you are the Guru around here haha.
 
why would you run a chip on s13? waste of money to upgrade it to 'stage' spec and get a chip. go the cheapest proper way, nistune. it's okay if you already have one in your car and you plan to upgrade in the future, but pointless to upgrade to get one. don't forget these tunes were made 20 years ago on different condition engines and engine components, there are big chances you could have some problems and only way to get rid of them will be to get a proper tune, for which you will need to get nistune atleast. nistune isnt that expensive.

it's okay to start the car with different maf. it won't work properly, but it will work. i installed 440cc injectors and z33 maf in my ca18 with 'stage 2' chip and drove it to the other side of town to get nistune in and tune it properly.

Aight u actually convinced me about nistune for ca also, now i just need to sell the chip tho :D
