Need advice.. keeping car sideways

Hey everyone. I'm fairly new to the whole drift thing.. I mean we've all messed around in snow but I mean on the dry pavement. So my issue is that I'm having trouble maintaining a slide.

Background on the car.. 95 s14.. megan coilovers.. 5 speed.. stock ka engine. Welded diff

So I initiate the drift.. clutch kick, power over, feint or ebrake.. and the car goes sideways.. that part I'm fine with.. but I'm find I have the car to the floor and it only slides for a.split second then comes back.

I'm usually sliding in 2nd gear at around 50 to 60 km per hour.. maybe I need to go faster?

Any helpful advice greatly appreciated.

Possible.. I'm still learning. Practice makes perfect.. just wondering if I'm missing something.. rear tires are at 40 psi.. 225/45/17

Car goes sideways, you let go of the wheel with your foot still on the throttle. Car drifts to max lock, grab hold of wheel and steer your line with the steering wheel and your angle with the throttle...

Go faster. Not doing that is not an option, that's main thing I had to learn from drifting with some power to no power.
Get to speeds where you are pushing the limits of grip without drifting, then start to fuck about.

Get to an organised event where you can try without fear of crashing. Also someone can sit in passengers seat and tell you where you are going wrong.
Probably a silly question, does the car have traction control and is it turned off?
