New guy in Lanchasire

Hi new here recently bought an mx5 as a stepping stone to learning how to drift. It is a 1992 UK model and the body was restored in 2009. With it being restored I was hoping to find a refurb 90's hair dryer with the space saver but no luck :( lol. I picked it up for 950. Owner wanted to keep his wheels for his other mx5 project, so I had to bring my own wheels in a friends citroen C1 "tight squeeze!" My dream car is an S13 so that is my aim.

Hey fella and welcome :) nice little motor you have there, I've heard they are relatively hard to drift with them being slightly under powered? How you finding this??

Thanks. I haven't found it hard to drift to be honest, but then again I can't compare to anything that I have driven before. I do find I have to give it some to drift, but my foot is not on the floor while I'm doing it or trying to do it and my diff is open. My wheel specs are 15x7j as well. There is a slight bit of camber on it too so that might help me with going sideways but the camber its no where near ridiculous only slight.

hi and welcome. im only in Blackpool if you need anything.

they are usually easier to drift. the open diff wont help though.

I'm in Lancashire to where about you at? Just looking for my first drifter to. Been considering an mx5.

I'm in blackburn accrington area pretty much. If you get one try and look for a pre 1994 mx5 if your after a 1.6 because after 1994 the engine was detuned to 90hp
