Hi,

Been lurking on here for a while but thought I'd say hello and get a bit more involved in the forum.

I'm currently building a '71 240z which will be RB26 powered as soon as I find a decent donor car.

Whilst I'm not currently active in the drifting community, it's mainly because I've never really given it a go. However I love older Japanese & Euro cars, many of which have become synonymous with drifting. I don't intend to keep the Datsun as a show pony so will certainly be up for finding out how well it drifts once it's built.

It's a rot-free US import. I'm one brake cylinder away from putting it all back together for an MOT, after which it'll be stripped for RHD conversion and RB26 conversion before soda blasting and respray.

I reckon I'm probably about a year away from having it finished but I think it'll be pretty cool when it's done :D

Sounds like a lot of work but will be well worth it! Good luck! Love the look of the old 240's on wide wheels with big overfenders, will be fun with the rb26 powerplant. Hope to see you out for a few drift days next year.

Thanks Domo, I think it will be worth it too. Classic looks, modern reliability and performance, but best of all... it's tax exempt!

I'll also be going for the wider fender flares and wheels. Hopefully I'll be sorting out the brake component I need this weekend, then all I need to do is find a suitable donor car!
