New To The Game - Too many choices.

I'm going to keep this as simple as I can only to save space. I'm 20, and there's nothing more I would like to do than see myself racing in formula drift. My issue is that I have no idea on the car that would suite me. I've looked and looked and nothing seems to hold me to it. I've looked at the 93 RX7's (too expensive stock), 350z, bmw m3, 240sx, a miata, etc. and I just don't know where to go from here. I'm looking for a car that looks mean and can get the job done. I'm open to suggestions however I'm not a ford fan. (Nothing against the mustang enthusiasts. Just not my style.) Anyways.. Tips?... Thoughts?..
 
So have you ever drifted before? You can't just buy an m3 and then come top 3 in formula drift ha! Will you be daily driving this car or just using it on a trailer? Get a cheap mx5/325 etc and go to some drift days and go from there.....
 
What an original question. Im fairly sure if you use the search option you wont come across many questions like this before...........
 
I think you should start off with an MX5... cheap and cheerful! No point spending big money on a car you might bang up..
