New Year New Goals

Good day everyone, let me start off by saying that although i love cars i dont know too much detail about them in terms of what car to use, setups and things like that for drifting.

Like many of you I am sat here in a lock down due to this virus and as such have had a good time to reflect on what i want to set my self as a goal. I am currently in the process of obtaining a hgv licence to earn more money and because of this i want to set my sights on an end goal.

I have always loved drift videos although never having experienced drifting in real life still want to get started with a project that i can use to fill up my spare time and get me out the house instead of sitting around at home twiddling my thumbs most nights.

The reason for this post is i wanted to start up a chat with people who have experience in drifting and building cars of their own and get an insight and help on how to get started. What things i can research whilst shut in and what sort of realistic goals to set myself to get going and for that reason i thought where better than the Driftworks forums.

I understand it takes time, money and patience which aren't a problem but any helpful advice you guys can help with would be great.

If this is posted in the wrong section of the forums i apologize and will happily move it to the right area.

Thankyou in advance to anyone willing to help and advise me.

The absolute simplest way to get going is to buy a good condition, mot'd, typical drift car. This basically means a bmw or nissan.
Then ,one by one, do all the basic drift mods to it which could probably be done on a driveway.
