Newb question: Will a JZ engine bolt into a gx90 chassis?

Hello all

I am new to the forum and am here hoping to gain information on Toyota's x90 chassis. I've noticed a lot of members on here own and enjoy the x90 and x100 cars so figured if there was any place I would get a definitive answer to my question it would be here:

I have read in a few threads on line stating that installing a 1/2jzgte engine into a gx90 chassis is a complicated process involving swapping out the front crossmember. I would like to know if this is really the case.

I have searched "gx90" and been through the posts and have been unable to come up with a definitive answer. One member describes having to drill 2 additional 10mm holes in the gx90 crossmember to mount a 1jzgte. Is this correct information? Have others had similar experiences?

I ask because I live in Pakistan and have been unable to find any jzx90 cars for sale, I do not believe a single turbo jzx90 car exists in the country for that matter. I have however found a rather minty gx90 that has a wheezing 1GFE in need of at least rings and a head gasket.

I eventually want to put together a 2jzgte / r154 x90.

If one of you could guide me as to whether I can make the jz fit onto the existing gx90 cross member it would be much appreciated. If that is the case I would do the swap directly, maintaining the auto trains for now rather than rebuilding the 1GFE and collecting parts for the future.

Look forward to hearing your responses.

Thank you

Gentlemen.

I've established that the front cross members are in fact the same between cars. But the steering racks show different part numbers.

Can someone identify the physical difference between the two pieces?
