Hi everyone im dec, ive been browsing the forums for quite some time now so figured id make an account and as im sure someone will mention use the search bar, which i have 
Ive been looking for quite some time as what to get for a first drifter daily
Ive been a major ford nut for as long as i can remember now but due to rust issues with older fords ive decided this time i want to change things up and go for something jap to see what all the fuss is about
, also that and im not a great fan of sierras and other rwd fords are just too expensive for me atm especially as a first drift car, so essentially im on around £1000 budget give or take.
Ive pretty much narrowed it down to either an mx5 or an is200 so id like to see your opinions on which one you think, im not too clued up on either of these cars tbh but i have done a little research, heres my pro's and cons for why ive chosen these too (and all my pros and cons are just from what i have read so if my information is b/s dont hesitate to tell me otherwise)
Mx5:
Pros: cheap to run
Reliable
Handling
Cheap replacement parts
Cheap insurance
Light
Cons: gaaaaaaaaaaaaay as hell
Not much room for extra tyres or tools on a drift day
Is200:
Pros: style
Room for tools/wheels etc
Potential for a 1 or 2jz conversion (later on if needed)
4 seats for if i need to be a designated driver
Cons: 4 door
Underpowered for how much they cost to run
More expensive to repair than an mx5
Eventually i do plan on getting an altezza, s14, s13 or rx7 as a dedicated drifter that will spend most of its time in the garage getting built
Also a thing with the mx5 i dont know if id sit comfortably in one as im 6'5 which is putting me off slightly
Any opinions would be grately appreciated.
