Newbie to drifting

Hello all,

My name is Connor(confox, turkish), I'm 23 and a family man. When I was 15/16 I did an NVQ level 1 in motor vehicle maintenance but have worked on and around cars ranging from a WW2 ambulance to Bentleys.

I've been looking at getting into drifting for a while now, but haven't had the time or money to build myself a car or gain my driving licence, but this has all changed now with my driving test being booked for April.

The cars I have been looking at are R33, 200sx and 240sx, but what would people say would be a good car to start with? i currently own a 2.0L Astra van and a 0.8L Daewoo Matiz.

Thanks for reading guys :)

Hey and welcome.

One big consideration will be insurance. An R33 will be pretty expensive to insure. Your best bet would either be a MX5 or BMW route as parts are cheap and easy to source. A lot comes down to how much you have to spend and how you intend to use the car.

You already own 2 vehicles despite not having passed your test, you now want advice on buying a drift car. See how your test goes then try getting a quote on a BMW 325/8 or maybe an MX5?

Ian. :)
