After deciding to take the plunge and head over to the Canon side of things my D40 is no longer needed. It has been a great camera that has helped me learn loads and taken some shots I am genuinely proud of.
I don't have photos of my exact camera right now - but can get some if needed, but it is pretty much mint apart from the 18-55mm lens clicks slightly during autofocus, but this doesnt effect its use too much. Comes with battery, charger and a good guide book that I got from Amazon, but no SD cards. It is the same as this one below, and comes with the same lens pictured....
I bought this just over 18 months ago after wanting to get into photography without knowing if I would enjoy it - so I didnt want to spend the £2000 I am now prepared to invest in gear.
Some example shots taken with the kit lens are below:
Location: Birmingham
Price: £200 collected or £325 collected including the Sigma lens (below)
To go with the Nikon D40 I bought myself an awesome bargain of a lens the Sigma 70-300mm APO F4-5.6 lens and a Hoya polarising filter. This is obviously Nikon fit only. This lens still retails at £199.99 and I'll be including the filter.
Some example shots taken with this lens on the D40 are shown below:
Location: Birmingham
Price: £175 including the Hoya Polarising filter.
Together the D40 and the Sigma make a genuinely superb starter kit - ALL photos on my Flickr account were taken with the D40 and either the kit 18-55 or the Sigma 70-300mm lens as far as I remember. Feel free to take a look my shots here
If you have any questions please drop me a PM.
