Need advice on what to get, I have a S13 and my diff has given up the ghost when I was trying to give it some off the traffic lights,
It was like this, build up the revs, hold it at 4000rpm..........amber light....dump cluch and .....................BANG.................."SHIT",

So i need advice on what to diff get? remember this is also my daily driven/semi drift car so it cant be a pig to use.

My other S13's a Drift Slag........................"And i Mean SLAG"

That means i'll need to source another S13 diff to weld, So i'd rather buy an aftermarket item instead, so whats it gonna be NISMO or CUSCO and should i buy the 2-way DIFF???

Mig is DEFFO strong enough

You say you'll need to buy a diff to weld, but you'll probably pick one up for 20 quid...

In fact, I chucked a welded one the other day because I used the output shafts from it. I think it's still at work, so if you can pick it up from Cambridge, it's yours. I just can't be fecked carting another diff around when I move in a couple of weeks when they are so cheap.

nismo gt-pro *STOP BEING PIKEYS!!!!* :smash:

a welded diff just aint a proper lsd (dont get me wrong, its works), just as much as open or vlsd is not. get your cash out and buy a proper nismo or cusco lsd. nismo is quieter and smoother, but both are shit hot.

600 odd quid plus fitting sometimes just isn't an option though. If you use a welded diff and see how much it improves your drifting, you're more likely to stump up the readies.

I would have got one eventually if that one didn't show up in the R32, but just got lucky, like Paul did with his

Nismo It Is Then

Cheers lad's for the input, "And sorry mitchc i cant drive down south just to pick up a LSD", "Mainly because i'am still a student,But thanks"

If the NISMO LSD's quieter its going to be a plus because the S13's my daily/semi drift car, "you got to keep the missus happy havent you"

RG Racing Gear??

I know this has nothing to do with a diff but i've noticed in the latest Banzai, On the 23 page "Street Control", it has RG racing gear for sale (£1250.00 A BIT STEEP ehh),and was wondering if this stuff is really what they say it is??

I'am still running on uprated springs and dampers so i need input on if i should uprate to RG coilovers, "since i'am going to uprate the diff"

Or not use all my money and get PISSED

RG stuff is pretty good. although if you have any problems it will be a pain. Im using D2 coilovers from Impulse Performance right now. they're pretty spot on for the job and you can pre order them with different spring rates to suit. also, you whack/break em and they get rebuilt here and not sent to santa to be fixed... :smash: i'd reccomend 9kg front and 7kg rear spring rates to start with. D2 are about to start supplying all various link arms etc... to compliment the coilovers. :worthy:

oh they come with pillowball uppers to to adjust camber :D

How much does the D2 coilovers cost?, and are they better that TEIN items? because i've took some serious consideration towards TEIN coilovers.

9kg front and 7kg rear? , I've seen the japs run 12kg front and 10kg rear, or is this overkill for beginers,"what's the diffrence???????"

Got my loan in, but i'am not getting the D2's yet because i've sold my S13 to my cousin and now i'am looking to buy a S14 and turn that into a SLAG,
Mainly due to the CA18DET being mechanically shagged plus the diff was really pissing me off as i couldnt be bothered sourcing it,
So a new year and hopefully a new car,"SR20DET POWER ALL THE WAY"

S14 drift slag,(hopefully)
