Reluctant sale of my cherished Nissan Fairlady 300ZX Twin Turbo.
This vehicle was hand picked and imported from Japan in August 2002 for it's first UK owner. I am the second owner and I bought it in September 2004. Having previously owned 2 Zeds I looked long and hard to find this one and she's a beauty. Pictures speak louder than words so have a look.
She's '91 J reg, 58k miles, Auto, Jap spec, Silver, full black leather, Sony CD with uprated front & rear speakers, Cat 1 alarm / immobiliser with remote central locking.
The targa roof panels do not leak and have their sun-screens attached are their storage bags in the back with the stowing straps. When it was first imported she was de-restricted and fitted with UK clocks with silver dials that shine through blue at night. Rear fog lights were also fitted. Nissan performed a full and thorough service including a new cam belt and water pump for good measure (bills etc to prove). The rear hatch spoiler had a split in it (normal problem) so it was replaced with a fibre glass copy and painted to match. It's a proper car, nothing is missing and everything works as it should. It even has proper Fairlady shag pile mats. It has a full stainless steel Japanese racing exhaust system (sounds really nice, without being loud) plus split rim alloys. When I bought the car I took it to Ryan at Ztech. He performed a full service, fitted an oil cooler, Apexi induction, JWT chip, bigger boost jets and fitted a HKS ALC 2, to make those gear changes a bit quicker. He estimated the power output now to be around 350 BHP. I've had the windows tinted (light smoke which is legal) and a new battery fitted.
The interior and body work is in superb condition. It's MOT'd until the 12th October. So there you have it, due to many things not least redundancy and growing teenage kids I have decided to part with my pride and joy (a decision I may later regret). It sits in my garage and I hardly ever use it which is a great shame. It never goes out in the rain. It is utterly reliable and always starts first time even if left for six weeks. When I do uncover it and get out of the garage my teenage kids moan about the lack of space in the back or fight over the front seat (if it's going spare), I'm sure you can picture the scene. Anyway I'd really like the car to go to a fellow enthusiast, who would appreciate and use it a bit more.
Someone that knows Zed's would love it. I have owned her for just over two years and she has cost me £7000. Insurance is cheap with a 'modern classic policy'. So don't go and buy a second rate Zed and spend your time and money sorting it, instead buy mine and just enjoy driving it - the work has been done!
Yours for only £3795
If you want more info, photo's etc please give me a call - Alex 07702 812347. I live in Orpington, Kent.
P.S - A good friend of mine recently spent £18k on a Porsche Boxster. My zed is quicker 0-60 and 0-100, (I told him but he wouldn't listen) now he's as sick as a parrot, and to add insult to injury people always look at the Zed ! (Boxsters, common as muck !!)
PPS - I'm away on holiday 4th to 10th Feb, so may take a little longer to respond to any messages.
