Nissan GTR --RODS!!--

superclarkey

DORITECH MOTORSPORT
I need a set of GTR rods, and even a crank if there is one going.

I'm this close to just getting a new crank and i don't want to pay out for one.

If you know anyone put me in totch.

out of R33 or R34, no R32 or 31 cranks please.

Err, if youre going rods, I think you need pistins too dude!

IIRC the rods are slightly longer, and the pistons are shorter

You have to use Crank and rods, you can not use the pistons out of a GTR in the RB20DET as the deck hight is wrong.

You have to get special pistons made for the conversion from Tomie which are 82mm pistons (£700)

iirc the RB20DET is 78 bore X 69.7 stroke.

iirc the RB26DETT is 86 bore X 73.7 stroke.

8mm bore out would be insane!!

hence why its not RB26DET as its RB24DET

With out the pistons, if i use standard i belive it makes it a 2.2 which is just on the stroke, but stock pistons still will not fit.

SO in short i only need GTR crank and Rods, the pistons i will have on order from Tomie. :D

:smokin:

Yeah i was going to have them, the guy let me down.

I've been waiting ages to get them, so now i need to look else were.

Abbey motorsport can get me new crank for £700

I've been offered a set of Rods and a crank out of a low milage R34 for £500, that sound fair price?

EDIT: I would have to pay postage on top :smash:

HOw much would postage be on something like this from scotland?

Try asking a courier :p No different to posting it from anywhere else in the country dude.

Who did the work on your block??? I am in the US and a few shops are skeptical about being able to get the job done without a lot of hassle. What info will I have to give the machine shops ... what problems did you run into during the conversion???
