Does anyone know how to go about getting an SVA for my car? got a guy interested and he was asking this. I live in Guernsey, so we don`t have anything like that.
Thanks....

 Does it really have to be put back standard????
How do the import company`s such as newera etc, get all these highly modified car`s registered then? I`ve seen loads with come in with a lot more mods than mine, i don`t understand this SVA at all.
Someone please HELP!!

Cars imported to the mainland need a SVA (based on a model report of a standard car) if they are under 10 years old (1997+) , so you could bring in a car with mods upto 1996 but after that it must be standard to match the model/spec the model report was created with.

oh dear...

SVA's are required for cars newer than 10 years. If a car is older than 10 years it's not needed. The cars at Newera are either older than 10 years, or they have limited bolt on mods which they will spend time taking on and off for the SVA. I have put a car through an SVA privately and it's a BIG pain in the ass. I don't think many people would pay that price for the car over here as it'll require so much more money to SVA it's not worth it sadly.

Lovely car tho.

will need a donor car for all the stock parts and model report compliant parts - the owner of the model report will recommend which sva centre to have it converted/tested at, where they should have the parts to slap onto it, but it'll need checking over first to make sure all the part numbers of the ecu/throttlebody blah blah etc etc match up correctly with those documented.
not a difficult task, but it is a real pain in the ass, although easier if you have a fully compliant stock car to rob the bits from :P

oh, that means the price of that would be extortionate after all the sva fees etc have been paid.

shame, cos its a chuffing lovely motor :)

pretty sure i saw this car at one of the exhibition matches at silverstone....

it's bloody beautiful... a real shame about the sva though:(
