Noob asking some questions!

Hey guys, I have never been the type of guy to be interested into cars, until last year. Although at some point I do want to get into drifting, I currently want to learn how to work on cars. I am getting my license in 6 months and find that it'd be good for me to know such things. Sadly, my dad was never really a car guy, so here is my question for you guys. What are some ways I can go about learning to work on cars? Is it possible that I could get an internship somewhere? How did you learn to work on cars?
 
Buy a car. Buy a set of tools. Start repairing parts yourself. With a bit of research and the right tools you can do a significant amount.
