North Weald Drifting ...finished

MrNick

I love Ibiza!
A new manager has put a stop to all drifting days and evenings ,very bad news for the regulars,i'm gutted !

:( :( :( :( Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo
As if we need it making any bloody harder to get venues, the ones we've got are playing silly buggers :( This is one of the reasons we need the profile of the sport raising a bit.... so people take us seriously and don't just view it as a maxxed up motas burnout and wheelspin day....

Good luck with finding something else Nick, if we can help, let us know

Everyone who's not too far away should try getting up to Crail sometime. The surface is crap and its not huge but its really well run by Cath and you'll get loads of time to practice.

if cheap overnight accomodation can be arranged at crail then ill go :)
2 day weekend with camping onsite?

Not good about North Weald though. I didn't like the surface cause it killed my car but it's still shit we've lost another venue :(

Gutted :( I was chatting to Astraboy last week in Leeds, found out he lives right near me in London and I asked him if there was anywhere near for drifting, he said North Weald, it was gonna be my first attempt at Drifting. Crail is definately too far for me :(

Both of you should get down the M3 until the A303. And come to Andover. It's ideal for beginners as there are plenty of marshalls and people willing to help!

try www.conedodgers.co.uk for more information. (where's the :shameless Plug smilie?)

This has really fcuked me cause I can't get hold of any 'R' rated tires before then. This is gash. I can't afford to use expensive rubber every time I go :(

Having to use soft, quiet race type tyres will finish drifting for me, I just cant afford them.

Trying to sort out if its possible to camp at the venue

Also trying to sort a display to be held at a major mag day - but i actually need people willing to display as a team :o

ooh, camping out.. its a HELL of a drive for me but i suppose if camping is sorted then it would make it more worthwhile :)

If there was camping I think I would be well up for it. However, the MR2 is overheating at the moment, I think the head gasket is on it's way out.
Not sure when I'm going to be able to afford to fix it. :(
