NORTHERN DRIFT CHAMPIONSHIP
TEESSIDE AUTODROME

This championship has been designed to be an entry level drift competition. If you have done a few practice days and want to compete, but feel you are not yet up to speed to enter The British Drift Championship (BDC), then this could be the place for you.

We are have 3 separate classes as outlined below.

entry fee to be paid in person on day of events

All championship rounds shall be held over two days. The first is a practice day with qualifying and the finals all being on the second day. As this is a new championship the rules and regs will be changing and growing with it these will be published as soon as possible

I'll be there again, cant wait for it, hopefully car will be ready.

Those at Round 1 are now in there groups and its just the new people in RD 2 who get split into groups after qualifying isnt it?

Im game, let us know as soon as new drifters can enter. Or can we just pop up the Autodrome at the weekend and sort you out with the cash?

Owen

An email will soon be sent to the drivers from round 1 containing an entry form for round 2 , a week after this we will be publishing the entry forms for round 2 via our website for new competitors . All fees to be paid in full on day of competition unless we have a lot more drivers then we will be asking for a deposit of £30 7 days before the event date .

Everybody who came to round 1 will remain in their groups for the rest of the year unless they want to move up from novice to semi pro but they'd loose their points and have to start over . New comers will qualify and be classed first, then everybody who already has been classified will qualify in there classes after then on to the battles 16-8-4 .

That sounds spot on Jen, I'll keep some cash to one side then ;)

Don't suppose there's any practice days coming up in between? haha

Do we have timings for the two days. Need to decide what I'm doing about hotels again for two nights or just travelling down on the practice day. :)

I am thinking the set up will be pretty much the same as round 1, unless we get loads more entries then things might change and as always I will try to get as much national track time as possibly on the sunday i am also looking into getting some time on saturday on both tracks too but that is still very much to be confirmed by my dad .

Ill be heading down with quite a few of the competitors for round 2 and I will be competing myself!

Only thing that gets me is the website says you need to join here n pay £40 here n rest there etc. But I believe I just register and get confirmation back of it being sucessful then pay in full when I turn up on the day?

Hi, sorry the website is a bit misleading I have not got around to changing it.
This year 2012 there is NO fee for club membership.
And you just turn up and pay on the day in full , however if I receive a lot more entries more 30 per class then a £30 deposit will be need to secure your place in round 2 , I cant see space being an issue , although we were thinking of limiting classes to 25 cars each ?
Hope that clears a few things up .

I am trying my best to get a fitter its just I have been let down before by a local lad with a mobile tyre unit its just trying to find someone near and reliable its a tough combo to get to ,dont panic your tyres will be changed and sorted one way or another .

Nah no problem! :p just jesting after round 1 ;) We got there in the end.. what was funny though was after I had my first battle with the s13 I went up to watch the Semi pro and pro and noticed the cones.. and said to Dunkz, "Whats with those cones?" and he said.. "Thats the clipping points.. it was in the drivers briefing.." to which I slept in for the first briefing and we were at that garage raking tyre piles for the second lol.. and when ur on track, i never even seen them ! :D haha

Thanks for clearing that up.... Im not fussed for the no. of cars as long as im one of them :) agree'd to do some twining with this man above (mint) so you have to let me go :P Ill hear pretty quickly when registration opens up as im friends with mint and the guy with the yellow FC that was down in round 1 so yeah hopefully its not an issue :)
