CAR IS NOW SOLD
NOTE - PRICE DROPPED ON SXOC to £6000. £6k for a low miles car with £8k worth of mods..
Pics soon.
Spec list:
Sadly I have to let my newly finished (mostly) s14a go.
I just had a LOT of work done on it by Jez, to a very high standard, Horsham Developments can vouch for the mechanical status of the vehicle. And yes, £1000's spent on it, receipts provided by Jez on request.
PLEASE NOTE car has never been crashed, ever. HPI clear. Car was reversed into once by a blonde in a 3 series in a car park, who wrecked my chargespeed front bumper (and bending slightly a light support bracket, mentioned elsewhere). Wasnt fast, but new bumper had to be fitted.
Spec is as follows:
*Denotes upgraded, expensive non OEM parts..
ENGINE BAY PARTS
*Full fast road engine rebuild by Horsham Developments
(upgraded parts - cometic metal head gasket, wiseco, eagle rods as part of rebuild)
*NISMO 740 CC injectors
*Denso colder plugs
*Aeroquip style oil cooler fitted with relocated oil cooler replacement filter head
*Alu flywheels for engine (red)
*TURBO - GT2871R - 2000 miles use
*Apex Type II manifold - heatwrapped for longevity (sounds wild at high revs)
*Apex Type II Turbo Elbow
*Apex single box 3'' elbow back system (including 3'' decat silencer)
*Forge uprated dump valve with recirculation kit plumbed in (save your fuelling and turbo..)
*Z32 MAF and Apex'i z32 induction kit (brand new - 1000 miles motorway use, all this weekend..)
*Apex type II FMIC
*Walbro uprated fuel pump (of course)
*HKS uprated actuator (rock steady boost)
*Dano designs pimp blue anodised catch can
TRANSMISSION
*Alu fidanza flywheel
*Quick shift kit (yes, rattles at certain revs/speeds) dildo style drift gearknob
*RPS Max street clutch (rated to 420bhp/torque is higher) 4000 miles use, not worn remotely. Never dragged, newish clutch.
CHASSIS MODS
This was my next stage of modifying... not many mods, all adequate and working well.
*Apex strut braces front and rear
OEM alloys fitted - 3000 miles on Goodyear F1's - saved my life in the drive up north in the deluges from Oxford to Carlisle. Yet more respect for the best fast rain tyre I have ever used.
* Apex 310mm big brake upgrade kit to front - Ferodo DS2500 pads
* Brembo grooved rear - EBC red stuff pads
BODYWORK
Not A1 show condition. Has scratches and some minor gouges - pics on request. needs detailing or preferably respray. The joys of london parking.
*JDM Kouki front and rear ABS plastic OEM bumpers
*Chargespeed side skirts
*Chargespeed front wings (vented)
*HID 8k lightset (requires adjustment to one support strut as light is not pointing 100% straight
*Seibon vented carbon bonnet
*Aero catches for bonnet (stop it flying off at easily attainable warp speed)
*Seibon rear boot lid
INTERIOR/ELECTRONICS
Interior is in average condition - alu centre console fascia cover (real aly!)
*Apex'i AVCR boost computer
*Apex'i PFC + Commander
*Defi triple gauge DIN unit (water temp, oil temp, oil pressure)
*JVC USB (or Ipod/mp3) stereo (also takes ye olde compacte diskes for luddites)
The car is just finished (barring some minor tweaks by Jez). Horsham developments can vouch for the state of the car - mechanically it is in A1 condition now. In fact more than A1, it is a very serious giant slayer.
Is it fast? Yes, Porsche 911 S and faster (noticeably so) than a 56 plate BMW M3. 5th gear will take you from 90 to off the clock in an eyeblinkingly short time. More torque than the OEM alloys can handle thats for sure.
Do I love it? Immensely. I wouldnt part from this if I didnt have to. I am gutted in fact.
Why? Well barring some bodywork, the car would be perfect. It is a nearly finished project, or ideal for someone wanting a good basis for turning into a drift or time attack car - most of the hard engineering work has been done in terms of the mechanicals. The engine will take 600bhp of course, with some minor mods (cams, larger turbo, ported head, some other bits and bobs).
Selling due to house purchase.
Power output Jez reckons is over 350, not been rolling roaded, as still requires minor tweaks.
50k miles car with loads of mods, and loads of potential for being an UBER monster.
you could turn this into a super high quality drift slag very quickly indeed, chassis mods and there you go... or a good start for a privateer time attack maybe, with a bit more power - up to 400 brake on this turbo and then strip the car out.
