Old Skool KP30

i like kp30's but I am not a huge fan of that one.

reminds me too much like a mk1 mexico with the blue decals down the side, would look better all white IMO.

its a corolla

NO its not. its a toyota publica, renamed in 1978 to starlet. so its an old version starlet

K= k series engine
P= Publica
6= version 6 body (3 = body version 3)
1/0/2= engine size

I used to have one until last year, all be it standard with about 42bhp on a good day, they are TINY little cars. Hence why I'd like to stick the 1G in one if I could.....

tetsujin does have a point about that one one the bay, a bit ukdm for me but i like the shape very much, are these mucho rare then i guess?

there not ULTRA RARE but they dont come about often etc.

But they are the same as all old Toyotas, they rust and can be a pain to get the parts to fix them too.

There are a few others to look at esp the TE27, but I dont think the UK got these :(

Also there is the Toyota 1000 but am sure that these are 108pcd as std (ford wheels)

then the KE30, this is a KP30

that is a toyota 1000. and yes they are ford pcd. uk didnt get TE27, nearest thing on the uk market was the KE25 SR which came with the 3k-b (1200cc twin downdraught carbs)

the TE27 came with the 1600 2T hence the "T"

Yeah, i was getting all a little confussed!!

I only really have a liking for the later 80's range of Toyotas. But I wouldnt say no to a TE27! :)

How your starlet doing?

:thumbs:
