Good work buddy, always wondered if I could rally my 14, don't fancy its chances in the forest stages though which is what the majority of British stuff is about!
One thing though, from the video it looks like you get a lot of under steer??
Will need to check the blue book and find out what you'd run against class wise though.
In the current rally championship I compete in, my category/class includes 2WD 2000cc + cars. (note that a turbocharger has a multiplier of 1.7 so a CA18DET would be 1800*1,7=3060 cc, still the 2000+ category.)
And turbocharger cars usually have to use restrictors (32-35mm depending on the championship).
Exactly what I was looking for (y)
So same class as Mk2 Escorts, Darians, M3s etc. Basically Millington Diamond class
Will be tough to be competitive in that class! But for fun and competing, don't see why not
Means you get to tune for torque once the restrictor is in place.
Yep. Most people say an sx is not an ideal rally car, but its fun when you manage to beat the lancers and imprezas...
The only time I can see them not being ideal is when you compare them to the much smaller more agile cars such as mk1/2 escorts, but certainly against the big heavy 4x4's in the dry tarmac stages I would say you have a dam good chance as you're proving
