One of 3 supercharged Soarers in the UK

Apologies that this is my first post on the Forum...

This Soarer has a £2500 Roots-type Cs supercharger on top of the world's best 4.0 V8, as well as an expert-crafted bespoke exhaust. (Exhausts By Design)

This is about as rare an example of the 4.0 V8 Limited model as you can find, finished in British Racing Green with Sage leather. There are only 3 supercharged Soarers in the UK (and I am keeping one of the others...). Great torque, and a lovely rear drive chassis.

Massive specification includes: CG Locks (http:///www.cg-lock.co.uk) on drivers and passenger seats; touch screen air conditioning (convertible easily to show Freeview TV and digital radio); cruise control; CD autochanger; vibrating (ultrasonic) door mirrors (to clear snow/ ice); deep pile carpets; touch control indicators; sport (air) suspension control and 17" alloy wheels with new tyres (original wheels also available); memory (fully electric) driver and passenger seats (and steering wheel). Of course, much of this is ditchable (the last Soarer I did that to lost about 200kg easily).

The (green) bodywork is OK-good, the leather interior OK-good, but it won't win any concours competitions (yet). 17" alloys, everything works.

It will come fully registered with six months tax and a new MOT, and is being given away for what I paid, minus 10%, at £5000. No offers - any less and I'd rather keep it and develop it into a trackday blaster...

The car would make an excellent track car project starter (or, of course, a drift car starter; or an amazing Q car). It currently runs around 350 bhp, with 0-60 in about 5.5 seconds, but the tuning has only just started...

The photos here don't show the 17s link, but the 16s that would also come with the car.

If you want any chance of selling it on here you'll need to state if it's manual or auto, milage, history etc. No one cares about leather and sat/nav i'm afraid!

Thanks for the tips! It is auto, and the mileage shows about 70,000 (but that may be out a few miles as it was converted from km to mph...).

The history is detailed here.

Drifting, I'd have thought (as an outsider, but one who has spent a happy hour or two sideways at MIRA in one), was its natural habitat. The Soarer on Fifth Gear was a manual, and I believe they are easy enough to convert - the manual from the Supra bolts straight in...

Let me know if I've left anything else out!

More than are on that link? There are loads there, on the history link.

I don't have any pics of the new exhaust or the 17s yet (I'm in the US, coming back tonight, so hopefully sort that this weekend).

Are you a trader per chance, or just bought too many cars and need to recoup some wedge?

Nice car, BTW :)

Erm, no and yes... We've currently got 5 cars in the house, between me and my wife... Two supercharged Soarers and a new E55 AMG (estate). So, one has to go... The other supercharged Soarer is way more highly developed than this one is yet, so when it came up for sale at a bargain price, I had to have it...

But now I am told I have to dispose of my first one...

I must admit that I have only heard 'should be possible' as the 3rd gen Supra manual is supposed to go straight in (to the V8), but I've never seen one done... There are manual Soarers that are twin turbos, but none that are manual V8s, I believe...
