cheers jdmash. my hand brake is set up as vertical. my problem is that i bent the push rod on my ksport hydro handbrake, and cant get a replacement push rod so i needed a complete new master cylinder. so since i was needing a new master cylinder i thought id get a good one (wilwood) like used on the dw setup.but when it arrived i found out that the threads on the wilwood pushrod are an 8mm fine and on the ksport there an 8mm coarse thread. so i need to get this piece thats suits the wilwood pushrod to get me up and running again. the ksport only came with one of those pieces, and to me it looks like the longer of the two but you could still set it up vertical or horizontal. why are there two different bits with the dw one??

i wouldn't retap an 8mm thread with a different 8mm thread! try and find a bit of scrap ally bar somewhere and fully drill and tap one end, then drill and slice the other end accordingly

All you have to do is what i did and die the wilwood master cynlinder push rod to 8mm course. :)

narcotic is right theres no way there would be enough meat left on it to hold if i tap it from a coarse thread to a fine thread, maybe if it was steal but its only alluminiun. easiest thing would be if you just sold me the part i needed

i think it would involve splitting kits where you can get the pieces seperatly where the problem lies, have you got the dimentions of the piece?

and the thread pitch?

not off hand but i could measure up the piece off the ksport one.
heres the info on the wilwood master cylinder.
