Places to visit in Scotland?

Hi,
I'm flying to Scotland this Sunday, I'll be staying at a hotel about 10 minutes away from Glasgow for 3 weeks.
Are there any drift events or shops, garages or any other car oriented events happening on the weekends in Glasgow or somewhere near?
:dw::dw::dw:

Whereabouts you staying? Worthwhile following Monster Unit on Facebook and asking about meets, they fairly regularly organise meets in the area :)
As Mint said, Driftland is worth heading to. There may be some events on at Knockhill.

Deanston Distillery in Doune has a visitor centre and is likely to be your closest :)

EDIT - Just checked my Map, Glengoyne and Auchentoshan will be your closest with Visitor Centres :)

Motherwell, that's where I'll be staying.

Guys, I'm going through all the posts. I have no idea how I'll get to Driftland without a car tho, for me it's bus, train only. I guess that I'm gonna end up visiting them distilleries.

People from Scotland! Let's organize a meet somewhere near Glasgow, preferably at the hotel parking lot, lol.
Or is anyone willing to pick me up and show me some cool stuff? I don't wanna get raped tho, but I would pay for petrol.

LOL. Train to lochgelly. Taxi to driftland. Job done. I know dudes from across seas who travelled to Scotland for one weekend with no cash or car and had to wing it. They made it :p

Oh, now I remember! DRIFTLAND BASH, right? Omg, I have to see this. Do they have some kind of a schedule, or can I just come to Driftland on Saturday and see some drifting, even better is it possible to rent a car there? Their website is kinda unorganized.

EDIT: I just found this on their facebook page https://www.facebook.com/events/171021859916463/

Yeah contact them first. Rent a car and do skids, Will be a shit ton more fun than staring at Animals trapped in cages for entertainment purpose............ just my opinion ;)

Eurocentral is in the middle of fuck all.
Hire a car and drive to driftland for a spectate, check their facebook for what's on when your up.

Scottish Drift Championship licence day on this Sunday at Driftland. Then there are public days the following sunday. Chizfab do do a hire car if you fancied a skid they are just beside it. You can get them on facebook just fire Kyle a pm if it interested you

Yeah as said, I wouldn't be walking around motherwell on your own. It's not the best town, be prepared for a junkie at every bus stop asking for a "lend of a quid" at every bus stop lol

Get some wheels and head to driftland on Sunday!

I visited driftland yesterday, I contacted some of the guys on Facebook and they gave me a lift there and back, introduced me to the other guys, passenger rides. It was amazing, haha, awesome experience! Has anyone been there yesterday?
