Polybush or Adjustable arms?

Just looking for some advice here. I have Tein super streets, front adjustable camber arms, front tension rods and a DW HICAS eliminator kit on my 32. Im looking to improve my suspension set up more so im thinking of polybushing all the points i can on the remaining arms. Im not planning on competing at anytime, i just want a sharp handling set up on the car for the road. So is it better for me to polybush or should i invest in adjustable arms?

Cheers:thumbs:

you do both mate. Adjustables don't eliminate every polybush, the ones on the hub side are still there. Rear upper camber arms are pretty much essential on a lowered r32. Others are optional if you want to widen the track. Ie you'll need adjustable traction arms if you put wide lower arms on to prevent bumpsteer.

I know adjustables wont remove all the bushes but im just trying to decide on polybushing alone or going for the arms also. Ive got it lowered as much as im planning and i adjusted the standard camber arms and they're set up perfect so dont need the adjustable camber arms to be honest and not going to widen the rear track either so im thinking fully polybushing will stiffen things up enough without being rough on the road.

If your setup is definately how you want it, 100% perfect then polybushing will be just fine. No need for the extra expense! You've got the essentials with the tension rods and front upper arms, hicas eliminator, so some subframe bushes, lower arm bushes, hub bushes and arm bushes will sort it out a treat. Subframe bushes especially will make a huge difference.

One of the very very very best things you could do to improve the handling & ride of your car is replace the super streets, they're a bit of an oddball setup, soft springs and stiff damping so it rides quite harshly relative to how well it handles. A set of CS1s or HSDs would be a big improvement, but obviously that's a fair wad of cash, but once it's all polybushed I'd say it's probably the biggest single improvement you could make.

Cheers Bon, I have a set of subframe locking collars on already so would you recommend replacing the subframe bushes completely with polybushes or will the collars do?

I was speaking to a fella that just swapped yer coilovers for super streets for competition drifting so ill wait and see how he finds them and then decide. Thanks for the info anyway!

Locking collars do a fine job for the ££ and ease of fitting, a set of polybushes is always better but how much depends on the condition of your original bushes more than anything. So long as they weren't falling apart when you fitted the collars, they'll do a pretty good job. Put the money towards the coilovers.

I remember talking to him about the coilovers, will be cool to hear how he gets on. :)

Yeah they were fine when i fitted the collars. Do ye do a finance plan on the coilovers??:D

Hes got a very good set up on that 32 already so it'll be good to see the comparison with the super streets and the CS. He hadnt taken it out for a spin when i was talking to him but ill tell him to let ye know how they do after a test run.
