Postage price issue

I want to buy 2 sets of these bolts Bucket seat mounting bolts Allen key type - Interior Driftworks Shop.

Now i may well be being a bit petty here but really ???? nearly £4 for postage , im sure you could post these for less than a pound, does it have to be recorded ????

service cost mate, human and material i guess

human cost normally goes into the profit/price on the item itself and material for postage doesn't need to be more than a 10p padded envelope and a 63p large first class stamp.

doesn't matter I've bought them now anyway

Could be worse, my postcode is classed as highlands even though i am based in aberdeenshire, we have the oil capital of the uk closer to us than the highlands yet they still seem to think its appropriate to charge us extra

fairly sure its because royal mail are terrible and if they didnt turn up you'd want them posted again or chased up which cost..

theres also the fact of sorting another viable service of postage than those already in place..

bare in mind these are guesses as i have no baring on the logistic/sales part of the company
