Posting pictures in the forum, specifically the sales threads

Guy's when you post a sales thread, ideally you want your pictures in the thread, not links to images...

The easiest way to do this is from Facebook -

Upload your pictures on Facebook

then right click and "copy link location"

Then click this icon and paste in your link

I see daily, lots of members with external posting links, and asking other members to embed them for them.

So do the above and you'll sell your car a lot faster!

I'm sure this has been posted before but Mods, can we please make this a sticky.

Or for those on outdated browsers:
Right Click -> Copy.

Then insert [ img ] [/ img] (deleting the spaces in the square brackets) and paste in between the "]" and the "["

*EDIT*
Also worth noting, Facebook links do expire over time, whereas Photobucket links seem to be more permanent (providing you haven't changed the link path etc).

My pics from 5 years ago are still live on here from FB, only die when or if you delete the pics or your profile

People are looking for an easy solution without having to sign up to a 3rd party like photobucket - I know a few photobucket images get replaced with a "bandwidth exceeded" image seen that a few times on here

I use tinypic.com for all mine you don't need to sign up either

You say that, but I had to relink all my AE86 project images and all of my airsoft photography images as they no-longer displayed after being img linked from facebook. No changes to privacy or location and certainly didn't die ;)

I've also seen the photobucket part myself though I find it easy to upload from there, horses for courses etc.
Good shout on the post anyway.

im guessing there is a way to make the photo's private so only I can see them on Facebook as I don't want to be spamming my friends feeds with car stuff, I do use photo bucket and its not too bad just a bit slow

Yeah, just set the folder as Private and then the links still work here :)
I did it with for sale threads in the past.

I've never had any photos expire from Facebook. Also, you may want to look for 'copy image url' depending on what device you are on.
